Their sportsbook, called “Top of the World,” cost around $10 million to build. For reference, most books in Vegas cost between $2-$3 million, according to Michael Nolan, Circa’s director of race and sports operations.

Woodstock Casino’s Sports Dome opened in April of this year. According to their website, it’s the first sports dome in the United States. Immediately, you know this is a special facility.
Let’s take a look at some of its features to determine if it lives up to the hype.
First Sports Dome in the USA
Woodstock defines a sports dome as “where indoor and outdoor betting meets.” Essentially, you get the benefits of an indoor sportsbook with an open-air design.
The roof of the structure will open and close based on the weather. Regardless of whether it’s raining or shining, you can enjoy the beautiful greenery of the Catskills.
They spared no expense when designing this facility. The 3,000 square foot space has high-definition televisions, luxurious seating, and high-top tables.

There’s no doubt that the open-air design is the biggest selling point of this sportsbook. If you ask me, Woodstock hits it out of the park in this department. Everyone wants to enjoy the nice weather when placing their sports wagers.

The final entry on my list of the best non-Las Vegas sportsbooks is in the original gambling city. You might be wondering why a site like this would include a Las Vegas facility, but hear me out.
South Point isn’t like any other casino in Sin City. For starters, it’s not directly on the strip. It also has a lot more space than your average Vegas casino.
The remodeled sportsbook officially opened on April 1, 2022. You could argue that it’s the best facility of its kind in the city. Let’s examine the reasons why that might be the case.
Massive Amount of Seating
The new sportsbook at South Point has a whopping 200+ stadium-style seats. If you prefer to watch the action from above, this is the place to be.
Each seat comes with its own TV monitor. You won’t have to worry about finding a good angle to watch your favorite teams. The stadium-style setup works perfectly for betting on events like baseball and football.
Need more seating? No problem. There are additional seats near the two full-service bars. Catch the game with a group of friends and enjoy some delicious cocktails.
With 12,000 square feet of space, it’s safe to say that you won’t feel too cramped either. Often times, sportsbooks in Vegas are small and stuffy. That won’t be the case here.
State-of-the-Art Facility
Along with the ample seating, the new sportsbook at South Point has a lot of other exciting features. Here are some of my favorites.

- 4–12 FT HD Screens– Four massive screens display continuous coverage of popular sports. You won’t miss a moment of the action.
- New Air Conditioning System– Management spared no expense when updating the AC system for the sportsbook. Stay cool during those scorching hot summers days.

The quick answer is that not everyone likes the fast-paced environment of Vegas. The second answer is that there are some incredible sportsbooks popping up outside of Sin City.
Case in point, the Caesars Sportsbook at Bally’s.
Light Show Above Your Head
If the previous entries on this list were lacking in one area, it’s probably flashiness. Sure, they have big video screens and comfortable seating, but none of them have ceilings filled with lights.
Until now.
The Caesars Sportsbook at Bally’s has around 300 individual LED lights above the seating area. These lights perform choreographed shows that react to the action on the field.
It’s hard to explain exactly how amazing this looks in person. Luckily, Caesars released this video showing off the light show.
Pretty cool, right?
